It’s hard to understand why some times things happened to us. I started LGP Equipment Rentals nearly 20 years ago, with a cement mixer in my garage. I started to buy equipment like a pressure washer, a jack hammer and other things and grew by business from there. One day, I went to the ARA show in Orlando, Fla. to look into buying scissor lifts. I was shy and didn’t know how to approach the vendors to ask them questions about this type of equipment. I went first to the competitors’ booths, and I’m sad to say they looked at me up and down like if I wasn’t a person. I worried every manufacturer would be like that, but then I went to the Genie® booth — and the service and attention they gave me was out of this world! I purchased my first three scissor lifts from Genie at that show. Ever since, Genie has continued to offer me that level of service, and thanks to that commitment to me as a customer, I have remained loyal to Genie.
I have since purchased 50 Genie scissor lifts, six Genie booms, as well as material lifts, runabouts, AWPs and telehandlers. Not bad for someone who started with one piece of equipment! Please continue to treat people the same, no matter how we look or who we are.
